Default instrument panel bulbs

I want to change all the instrument panel lights in my 89 flhtp but I'm having a difficult time finding definate matches to the bulbs that are in the panel the bulb reads as a stanley 12v 3.4 watt japan. I've been to bike shops here ( no HD shop here ) auto parts and the like and the bulbs they have physically match as 12 volt but none show the wattage. Any ideas?

Is this a wedge base type bulb? If it is they use these on the smaller gauges of newer bikes and it's a #194 filament bulb. Some people replace these in there small gauges with LED bulbs(WLED-X5) using blue, red, white colors. Here's a link to those bulbs.

Its the type with the two pins equal distance from bottom, you push and turn to lock in position. Just curious there anyway of testing one of the new bulbs to see how many watts it would be?

Remember the Led's draw much less amp than the older style filament bulbs... My concern would be if the hole is big enough for the led bulb to fit into.

Basicly I'm just looking to replace the bulbs with clear and not colored or leds. I found some that are 1.73 watts and the ones I took out are 3.4 watts, will there be a large illumination differnce? Also the manual says 0.27 amps , how big of a bulb in watts would that be?

I used 1.75 watt in the 2" gauges and 3.5 watt in the tach and speedo in my 96 Ultra and was happy with the results.

And .27a is close to 3.5 watts (V*I=W) 12.6V*.27=3.402

volts times amps = watts 12x0.27=3.24watts
