Default Monkey Bagger Bars and Heated grips

Hey guys Im installing Monkey Bagger Bars and I am thinking this would be the ideal time to add heated grips. I have a 2008 SG and on the Harley website it says that the heated grips will not work with internally wired bars. Does this also apply to the MBB?? What can I do to get them to work, I know that the Fly by wire throttle sensor has the plug-in located internally and is integrated with the sensor. My goal is to have all of the wires internal for a clean look. I dont want to hear "use the search function" b/c I already did.

Let me see what info I can find for you, but I have a friend that tried to internally wire heated grips on an 09 Street GLide, not sure it worked for him. Let me see if I can find some info out.

edit: this is from a previous email I had from him and just found. I am still not sure he has solved the problem.

The only thing that I haven’t solved yet, is that I bought heat demons grip warmers, and the steel on these bars (he talking about 14" Wild 1 bagger bars) is so much heavier stock from the Harley version, that the warming element won’t fit with the throttle-by-wire rheostat inside the bar. I’m planning to take a reamer to the right side and remove a couple hundredths to get them to fit. So far it hasn’t been a high priority.
