The stabilizer link - the one from the front cylinder head to the frame - is an ugly piece. Anyone make a better-looking link? Kuryakin makes a cover for this link but I would prefer a replacement made of stainless steel, or chromed..
Harley now sells the Front Engine Mount Stabilizer Link part #16213-10 which sells for $49.95; and the Billet Front Engine Mount Bracket (part #16205-10) for $129.95. These parts are all chrome. They are pretty pricey, especially compared to the Kuryakyn part which is a chrome cover piece. I've been trying to find the HD parts for less--at least 20% off at the places that normally give that discount.

Yes HD now has the bracket and the link in chrome. kinda pricey for my tastes but here ya go.
Bracket Pt# 16205-10 $129.95
Link Pt# 16213-10 $49.95
Unfortunately the Kuryakyn stabilizer cover isn't much of a solution. While it does look good, it's just held in place with double-back tape. I installed it following the directions closely and it's gone after a thousand miles or so.
No clue where it came off. Without some type of clamp to hold this cover on, the tape just isn't a good enough approach to hold it in place. Don't waste your $ on the Kuryakyn cover.
I put both pieces on my SG. Followed the directions to the letter and ended up damaging my frame down tube. The bolt on the 16205-10 is too long for one side. Contacted Harley, but they didn't show any concern to my problem. If you put this on, use the original bolts or buy one shorter, like the original size.
That front stabilizer is the price you pay for your bigger 6 gallon tank! It used to be hidden away between the heads. It's beautiful, repeat after me, it's beautiful. You can't see it while you're riding.....
