My bike sounded like that until I spent a few days pulling steep grades in the mountains 2 up with luggage.
I thought it sounded GREAT but it gave my wife a massive headache!
I toned down the exhaust for her.
Sorry that your wife had an incident......mines paranoid about the thought that it could happen...........if it does,I'm sure my life will change(AGAIN!)
Every winter she says that she is done........then summer hits and we go on a trip and she is happy again........
Getting into an accident would change that!
