I'm leaning toward a Sony E-series mp3 player. It has flash memory,which I have
read on here is the best way to go. I have a couple of questions. Most of the mounts
I see are for I-pods. Does anyone make one for other mp-3's? Also, are there any good
8gb players that just do music that have flash memory? All I really want one for is to play
music ,since my cd player took a crap.

They look to be about the same size as an Ipod; thus the Ipod mount would work.
I simply use a Sony MP3 Walkman. I use a 6" flex cable, male to male, plug it into the radio and throw it in the right windshield pouch. This works great.
I've got one I made but I think this one from Barefoot ******* would work just fine and it's only $14.95. Good thing about it is it's more universal. There cup holder I do have and it's terrific. I bought a used Ipod Nano 8gb Gen 3 on Ebay and they can be had pretty cheap and are great for bikes. Good luck. http://www.barefootwillies.com/index...&products_id=5
Thanks acchd that looks like it might work.
Also watch those Bub 7 end caps for pitting.
Mine pitted even though I kept them polished.
I noticed yesterday that the left one is so bad
I'll probably have to turn the mufflers over.
