Guys,
I have a 500w Memphis Audio Amp and 2-10" Memphis Audio Subs sitting in my shop taking up space.
I'm thinking about storing these in a chopped tour pack for the time being.
Since they'll be sitting in the tour pack...might as well hook the damn things up, RIGHT?
My main concern is the charging system.
Anyone know the amp rating on the stock stator/rectifier?
Anyone know if there is a larger setup available?
I'm also considering the ARC 125.2 for the front speakers that I'll change to 6 1/4"'s and a set of the Not-Yet-Released-RG Hogpods.
If I can make this work with no charging/electrical problems...this system should be the cats-***!
ANY info/help would be appreciated!
EDIT: This is for a '09 Road Glide

Stock is 50 amp 3 phase...nothing bigger from H-D
Maybe aftermarket?
Keep in mind if the amplifier pulls too much juice the ECM/injectors will fail and you can create all kinds of driveability problems.

My system pushes 1200 watts through 2 Alpine PDX 4.150's.
Haven't had any issues through 2 summers.
Did buy an additional battery last summer, to run a 2 battery system.....but never got around to it.
Somewhere there is a thread floating around about how to have both batteries hooked up at all times, with the charging system switching back and forth between the batteries. I'll have to look that up !!
