Thanks for the part number and the pic cap, that's pretty slick. I think I'm going that route on my Street Glide. Did you have to make any spacers or anything, or does it come with the right length bolt and everything?
Your welcome Retrax - No it doesn't come with the bolt, I went to Westlake hardware and picked up a crome nut and bolt with a lock washer and just sized it up with the hole for the mirror. Works like a champ. You could look at lowes or home depot.
I use a RAM handlebar mount w/a Garman 205...and like it.
Question: Is their any way to shorten the power cable on GPS's?
I only need about 12" and the dang thing must be 3' long!!!
There is a large 'knot' close to the accessory plug so it cannot be shortened on that end.
I don't like the Ram mounts, they look too clumsy and ugly to my eyes. Eglidegoodies has a big selection of other options.
Ram mounts are kind of ugly but I use stuff for touring I normally don't leave on the bike. I can pull the ram mount off, just leaving the small ball behind on the bike. The ram stuff is highly adjustable too. Techmounts are really nice and low profile. I would probably use those to permanently mount things but for daily use a radar detector or gps would disappear fast where I live.
I have used a couple of mounts for Zumo 550... the best for me has been the H-D mount 92365-08 that goes on the left handlebar control. It fits well, works great, and
no problems.

I picked up a retractable cigarette outlet GPS power supply on e-bay for under $10.00....Not sure who the seller is now but type the info in e-bay search and I'm sure your find it. If you turn the forks full lock left it just about touches. No reason to turn that far so it's a non-issue for me.
