Default Brake lines

I'm having problems getting acceptable brake lines for my 06 RK from the dealer. I need +4 on the top line to accomodate my new mini apes, and have ordered Russell lines from the dealership. They came in but were not as described in the catalog or the picture, and of course the dealership has none in stock or any actual samples to look at. The main complaint with the Russells were that they have a prominent black dashed line printed over the clearcoat. I didn't like that and they offerred to exchange for another brand with no dashed lines. Ordered the HD SS lines with a +4 top, and guess what? They came in with dashed lines also, although not as prominent. Part of the fittings are made from cheesy grey plastic, and a couple of the brale lines have a definite pink tint to them on one end - can't tell if it's underneath the clear coat or discoloration on top of it. Anyway, they are going back today too.

So am I expecting too much for my money? And what is the deal with the dashed lines - I thought clearcoat meant clear! Finally, can anyone point me in the right direction for a brand that has clear clearcoat, and a vendor for that? All I want to do is get some quality lines on and get my knees back in the breeze.........

Might want to have a company make some for you. I'm retired now and out of the curcuit, But we used to have all our hyd lines custom made. Be a lot cheaper.
