Default Help!!! @#!@$# fob

I recently took my fairing inner and out off had it painted. Sent my gages to have the LED's color changed. I put everything back together, however, now my damn FOB is not synking with the scoot.

Can someone tell me what I need to do to get it to work so I can start my bike.

There has to be something to do a code etc.

Thanks..

my fob stopped working a few weeks ago. went to SD Harley and was thinking it wasn't sinked.... end result was the battery went out on it. only had it eight months. bought a Harley battery 6 bucks. later found out the battery at walmart for 1.29 was the same battery. i don't know how old your battery was, may want to change out the battery before you take the bike apart again...

To change out the battery, look at the said of the fob you will see a little notch, I used a quarter and twisted it sideways and separated the flop. The batter is right there. Just make not on which way the battery goes in. If you put the battery in backwards, HD will have to reprogram the fob for 65.00, that’s what they told me at least…. Hope this helps

Thanks but I am sure its not the battery. I think it has something to do with the gages and codes..

As sure as you might be I think I would spend the $1.29 and at least try the battery! Just my $.02 tho....

Does you blinkers flash as if the the alarm is on when you turn on the ignition switch? If so it just may be the fob's battery. I rode to Target to pick up something for the OL, came out & bike would'nt start. Went back into the store and bought the battery & it fired right up! Good Luck

It's easy to assume it has something to do with the work you just did, and it may be, but like others have said, start with the simple stuff first.Change out the battery and if you are still having trouble start chasing your wiring and search for codes

OK, My apology to ALL YOU GENTLEMEN,,, I guess if I asked a question I should listen to the answers.

I went to ACE hardware, paid 3.5 for a battery and wala IT WORKS!!!

Lesson learned, if you ask, then listen to the answers.

THANKS GUYS...
