Default Warranty ansd cams

If my bike is still under the original warranty or extended warranty and my cams **** the bed or something breaks in the cam chest. Will this be covered under warranty?

Good question, if you have altered in any way the motor, even the exhaust, air cleaner or carb or efi,( rejet or PCIII or the like) a dealer or harley can deny your claim, its in the fine print, the only saver being, that if those items were installed before delivery on a NEW unit by the dealer then it will be covered. On the 07's its spelled out IT WILL void warranty on entire bike, the exceptions being a few of their 50 state legal slipon mufflers and of course chrome goodies. Thats what is holding me off a 07, with the 2 year warranty its ride it stock or throw your protection away.

WTF? Like the dealers and Harley don't make enough money? [:@] They'll gladly accept your money for whatever you want to buy for your bike, after delivery, and then they can tell you to pound sand if you need warrenty work after?

I'm in the wrong business!!!

I made a mistake, that goes only for Harley parts installed at time of delivery, wouldn't work for non hd parts like PCIII or other brands of aftermarket stuff, harley has been good to me and never refused to honar a warranty issue, but thats why they protect themselves with those little stop lights and crossed flags in the catalog, it tells you if that part could void your warranty if installed.
