when i bought my 2010 limited, i got two free hours labor to install anything. at the time didnt want to use it, but dealer said i could use it at 500 mile checkup. only thing i dont want to do myself is cam change. i am thinking of using the two free hours to have them install se255's. how much will it cost me just to do this?
i know - next piece would be why not do se ac at the same time. dont think i can swing the cat change yet, but can you also help me estimate adding the se ac by the dealer along with any fuel mod that might have to be done.
so last piece of help. thoughts on cam only if i cant afford to do both or is it really useless without se ac. i know i will want to do pipes and pcv or sert, but that may have to wait until next year.
You are looking at 6 hours of labor give or take an hour. The lowest rate around here is $62 and hour plus the cams and other assorted parts. I'd plan on $500 bucks or more for the total job.
You will get a lot of opinions, but for what it is worth, before getting into cams, I'd do the exhaust/mufflers, PCV, and SE AC first. You will get a bump in performance from that to start. The 255 is an outstanding choice among the many choices out there. Check out Fuel Moto for everything you need.

appreciate that. its just that i will lose the labor if i dont use it and i can do the fuel moto upgrades myself. labor here at my dealer is $75. 150 buck is 150 bucks.
If you have a limited which I will assume that it is the Ultra then it would have the 103 big bore kit already installed. With that said I beleave the SE 255's are already installed in that motor.

actually the limited 103 has the same cams as the 96. Only the SE stage II and the CVO's have the SE255 cams.
My dealer quoted me six hours at $75/hr., if I used adjustable pushrods. Since I did this job on my bike I would say they would probably want to add 2-3 hours if you reuse the stock pushrods.
