Default Help looking for apes

I would like to find 1.5 inch thick Apes for my 2009 StreetGlide. Do you have any recommendations? Names, shops, brands, part numbers...etc.? What are your opinions and send me pics if you can on your streetglide. I am thinking shoulder height, 13"-16"?

I live in So. Cal, Cerritos.

Thank you for your time!

Carlini makes some nice products. Not cheap, but decent quality.

I just bought a set of Wild One 14" from American Cycle Parts on eBay for $379. The guy already had them prewired with all chrome controls, switches, levers, and master cyclinder. Awesome guy to deal with. I bought all of my cables from Dr. Vtwin here on the forums. Drew is top-knotch. He can get or direct you to whatever bars/cables, etc. you need. I would gladly pay more if necessary for that kind of service.

Check out Dr V-Twin. treated me right!!!

I really like the looks of the Yaffe Bars, but the wait and price is ridiculous. There is also a site called BR Customs that makes some killer bars, but again the price is up there (higher than Yaffe) and the wait is around 30 days.

I finally said screw it and went with what I have seen and felt on a few other bikes, Cyclesmiths 16". I cut and soldered all of my extensions for wires and I got all cables from the Dr. as well (Magnum Black pearl). If you don't want to do the wires old school, they sell extension kits, but plan to spend about 50 bucks or more that doing it yourself. It might save some time, but I thought messing with all the connectors and having to push every pin out would be a PIA. I took my stock controls off and had the extensions soldered to the control end before my bars ever arrived.

Here are a few pics. Not the best picture as my camera is screwed up right now, so my blackberry was all that was available. As you can see, chicks dig aps My little girl is such a ham!

If you like what you see, send me a PM and I will get you all the part numbers and have cable sizes etc ready for you. The 16's are perfect for me at 5'10-5'11. Any shorter and I would be pissed that I wasted money and time

BRcustoms that I mentioned above is the only one I know of. After having 1.25" I am not sure I would even like something thicker.
