"is 10x more functional than any bike in the HD touring family", hmm, what functions does it have that "any bike in the HD touring family" doesn't have? Please enlighten me I might want one.

I like the new Vics... very nice bikes.
After 6 harleys, my next bike will probably be the cross country.

I'm not ready to buy one but I do like the fact they come stock with 92 HP and 109 TQ at the rear wheel; our Harley touring bikes should come with that kind of power!

I don't think they are ugly, just dissappointing. Why dissappointing? 107 years after Harley began manufacturing motorcycles the US motorcycle market is divided primarily into three parts. (1) Harley, (2) the imports and (3) the US produced Harley look-a-like (Victory). You can argue the merits of Victory vs. Harley all day long, but the bottom line is the only other viable US manufacturer of motorcyles, other than Harley, produces a Harley look-a- like with one or two technical advancements.

Am I to believe the only viable motorcycle engine is the Air/Oil cooled V-Twin??? 60 years ago Indian had a V-4 that at the time was considered technically superior to anything Harley was manufacturing. 107 years later we are still debating who produces the best V-Twin. While it's an interesting debate, it doesn't seem like a lot of progress for that many years.

That's why I think it's dissappointing. Marketing 101 says "don't try to out Harley, Harley."

Anybody else agree??

I think you should give the Vision a second look. Look-a-like? Don't think so. And the Cross-Country is quite different too. From your point of view, seems like anything that has two wheels and a v-twin motor is a Harley look-a-like. I like Victory because they dare to do different. If they've had released the Cross-Country a year earlier, I would've got one instead of my EGC. I'm not interested in the Vision too much. Too much plastic but I can appreciate the bike for what it is. A new twist on the touring cruiser market. Does Harley need to be affraid of Victory? Maybe not yet but with amazing bikes like the Cross-Coutry/Road and the Vision, I bet that in a few years, Victory will give Harley a run for their money.

My question is,.. why design a decent looking headlight like they did, then put the bike out with cheapo $20 driving lights making the whole thing look cheap and thrown together? Why not design a couple of driving lights that matches the headlight, and have it all flow nice?
I personally like the cross country, but the cross roads isn't my thing.

Yes.... yes I do. But hey, I'm an equal opportunity rider, I'll ride with anyone on two rubbers with a motor above 125cc's. So to each their own.

The one with the fairing looks good I think. They're neat bikes. I have a few buddies who have Victories, and they're nice bikes. They love em. I like my Harley better, but that's why I bought it. A lot of people just want something different than a Harley, cause you have to admit, they're getting pretty common anymore.
