....... I'm disappointed, ......cuz i thought we sharknose guys had use of the word 'fugly' all wrapped up
....... and it pisses me off just a little bit that some are using 'our' word as some sort of generic expletive to be used for any ole non-electra-winged looking scooter.
....... we are fugly & we are gawd-damd proud of it ...... don't make us hafta copyright the word, people !
P.S. Creep1 If you ride a Victory Vision you will never want anything else...Rides and handles like a crotch rocket but has ALL the amenties of a Full Dresser!! Yeah I know some think it's BUTT UGLY...To each there own...
Looks like something they rode in WWII. Just my opinion.

Yeah, what he said!!!!!!!!!!
Of the Vision, my son has one, when he first bought it, I thought " what the heck did he do" but after riding it, ummm very nice bike, gobs of power, love the adj windshield, comfortable, sits low, I like the floorboards ( no need for hwy bars), and believe it or not those side bags do hold quite a lot...I still don't care for the fairing, but I can't beat it up either...it's a damn fine motorcycle...now of the aftermarket and dealer support comes alive, watch out.....
On a final note- Sonny Barger is quoted as saying " I have been riding motorcycles for 52 years, this is the best motorcycle I have ever ridden " . He is refering to his Victory Vision. I still would love to ride one for myself but thats a pretty solid endorsement in my eyes.
Well, if Sonny Barger says it ..............I don't care if Jesus Christ himself rides one, it's the ugliest F'n bike on the road!
Motorcycles are a business first and formost. Owner loyalty is HUGE among Harley owners. I know many people that have a Harley sticker, shirt or what ever and they don't own a harley. It's an American icon and brand that is most people in the world know.
Honestly, do you think Harleys will still look the same 10, 20, or 30 years from now? Change will come, what ever form it takes the bikes you ride today will be very different down the road.
What I see is allot of 40+ year olds riding the crusiers and most of them on Harley's. However the younger crould rides fiberglass covered crotch rockets. When these people buy their next bike and their bike after that. They won't be so loyal. They may try to persue/relive their youth. How are they going to do it? That's an unkown, but every smart motorcycle business man is trying to figure that out.
Folks, look at the motorcycles of the 70's, remember AMF. That was a bad time for Harley. Well, they arn't making allot of money over the last couple years either. I know lots of people that arn't dropping $10k + on toys. To go up to the 20K mark is almost unheard of by those same folks. Old school harleys, what are those? I know my SG is just a hacked up classic. The Roadglide is just a different nose. The King, is about as old school looking as I can think of.
Victory will most likly be niche for a while longer, but it takes money to build a brand. It's still a new company in this market and they are designing with the future in mind.
Harley designed the V-rod with the future in mind and trying to capture that younger crowd. While it hasn't been a hit, it's still selling. Harley touring bikes are over due for a restyling of thier outer looks.
Their will always be people unwilling to see or accept change, that's just life. Reguardless, change will come, it's just a matter of time.
I really want to see both companies succeed and do well. That would keep more dollars here in the Good Ole USA. I am all for that.
I have to agree about American made machines. A plus. But I still think Victory has too much of a metric look although I hear it is a powerful, smooth running machine. To each his own. We all take the same risks out there on 2 wheels.
