Default C&C seat ordered

I took the plunge and ordered my C&C seat. Chuck said that this week alone he has recieved over 40 orders. So word to the wise if you are wanting one, order it now to have it ready for summer. He was so helpfull when ordering, while we were on the phone he sent me HQ pics of some new cover designs they are doing. Also since shipping to AK is so expensive he looked at different methods like USPS but it turned out that UPS was cheaper.

Should be 7-10 days before it ships, then another week to get it here but I will post pics after it arrives. I ordered the solo seat in black osterich but it has a smooth panel of vinal across the middle in the back, loved the way it looked in the picture he sent. I also ordered the pillion pad to match just incase I can ever get my wife off her menstral cycle and on the back of my ride. The passenger pad has a tab that hooks under the T-bar of the solo seat, bolts down in the back and has 6 suction cups. I hope it dont mess the paint up any. I debated on getting the gel insert as I have a bad back with compressed disks, but Chuck mentioned (during my call last year) that it retains the heat some so I passed

I thought I was going to get a early jump on spring as we have had a week and a half of 40 deg weather but it decided to snow 4-6" yesterday. Most of the roads were clear and I was just waiting for the last 1/8 mile between my house and the clear road to thaw. Oh well its to be expected, this is Alaska after all.

Also, mention that you are a HDF forum member and you will get a nice little discount which I was greatfull for since it cost so much to ship up here. I will post pictures once it arrives.

Never have to worry about quality w/ C&C! Chuy just wrapped my Hog Tunes tweeter pod with leather & stiched it to look like HD dash pad & it looks great! The gel may retain some heat but it would be very little. I have it in all my C&C seats and even setting in the desert sun of Laughlin or Las Vegas NV I can go right out & sit on the bike. I too have a bad back & would'nt be without it! Something to think about.
Good Luck & Congrats!
Dave

being in alaska i don't think i would be too worried about the gel retaining the heat. but the flip side of that is the gel also retains the cold.
