i used the handlbar mount on the left got it low and inside it only blocks the air temp gauge ,wich is usless,it is not as clean as a fairing mount but i use all the pockets and didnt want to give those up and its easy to reach and see.
So Bob, you can get the fairing mount and the single fairing pouch to work together? That was the only way I can get it to work.
Yep, they work fine together. I saw a single pouch on eBay pretty cheap, but it wasn't real leather. I got mine from Fox Creek, but Boss Bags also makes a very nice one, but it's more expensive.
I wear glasses and switch to prescription sunglasses for riding, so the bag is a must have item for me.

Mine is mounted on the right hand switch housing. I really don't see a problem with my speaker, and I can see all of my guages with no issues. Ifyou do mount on the left, Zumo has a built in fuel gauge feature that only works when mounted on the bike. Just set how many miles you average on a tank, and reset when you fuel up. It'll give you a warning on the screen, and if you touch the warning icon, it pulls up the nearest stations.

Mounted mine with the U bolt on the left side. I can see the gauges just fine. Not concerned about blocking the speaker, dont really look at it.
No issues with sound performance that I can tell.
This allows me to keep the 3 pouch windshield bag.
