Congrats on the new scoot. Don't worry, the excitement of riding a brand new bike home will warm you to the core. Enjoy, and ride safe. I recommend electric gear to help that warming effect.

Congrats on the bike but instead of heated grips I would get the Gerbing gloves. Finally got a pair a couple months ago and love them as they keep your whole hand warm. Admittedly I have never tried the heated grips but just my 2 cents.

The ride home will be something you always remember. Similar for me when I picked up my RKC last February, 60 or so miles home. Had to stop a few times but WHAT A RUSH!!! Good jacket, good gloves, chaps, new bike, you won't even remember the cold.
