Have 2003 Ultra Just purchased 18 inch r/c/component rims.
18x3.50 Front with metzler140/70/18 tire
18/4.25 raer with metzler150/70/18 tire
Does anyone know if these sizes are ok. Front appears to be fine but rear drive belt is rubbing tire. wheel distributor tells me they use this size all the time, so at this point Im looking for a remedy to this. Any advice would be greatley appreciated.
You'll probably need a spacer behind your pulley to give you clearance between tire & drive belt. I'm running the same size tires as you & I think I'm running a .200 spacer behind my pulley, it's available from Drag Specialties, part # DS-199458, it should be less than $10. The 150 rear is a tight fit so check all your fender clearances, but it will fit.

I just put those on yesterday when i took my road king to Eastern Performance and they fit fine.
what brand tire did you purchase, maybe thats my problem. Is the rear tire a 150/70/18 also? Road King looks great. How much clearance do you have between your drive belt and the tire. do you know if a wheel spacer was used on your install ?
Thanks, John
