Default New Build – Help question.

I have completed assembling my 2008 flht. Bacically from the crankshaft up: new motor parts. My problem is, she will not start. I removed the battery early in November, place it on a charger, dis-assembled the bike and the ECU has sat out in the cold ever sense.

All electrical items were disconnected at the electrical connectors. Everything seems to function, except for no spark (closed garage, ground plug, turn over motor). I may not be getting any fuel, quit checking prior to investigating this.

The bike is going to the local harley shop to be re-mapped with the super tuner, but I would like to ensure I have not “forgot” something. Any ideas as the causes?

Is it possible since the bike has been apart for 4 months, the ECU has lost the MAP?

Thanks for any help.

Not much help here, but my ECM was out of the bike for almost a year. Plugged it back in and it worked like always. If you aren't getting spark, did you plug your coil wire harness back in?

Went back out to verify connections. I get one very weak spark on the front cylinder and nothing on the back cylinder (Accel wires). Changed to the stock set and achieved the same results. In my first post I had only checked the rear cylinder.

Best as I can tell, everything is connected.

I have re-asked this question in:
Electrical/Ignition/Tuner/ECM/Fuel Injection section.

My mistake.
Thanks

For update purpose:
Figured out when you do not have compression the system is smart enough not to fire the plugs.

At least it looks like an easy fix. The roller rockers are hitting the top rocker cover and the valve is being pushed open. I will be grinding the rib area on the rocker cover down tonight. At least I should be able to start the bike by this weekend. Hate to admit I should have caught this problem during assembly.
