I have a 2006 Road King Custom and I was wondering if anyone had ever seen someone powdercoat the rough part of the wheels, leaving the machined lip alone?
Is this even possible and would it look okay considering the surface on that part of the wheel is rough? I was hoping to powdercoat the wheels gloss black to match my vivid black paint?
I haven't seen a new street glide in person yet, but I like that look in pictures, I'm assuming those wheels are done in a similar manner.
Hi,
I was thinking the same thing.
I saw a new streetglide this weekend at the stealers and the cast part has been "smoothed" compared to our RK custom wheels.
I think if you used some good quality paint, you could hand paint the wheels and leave the chrome alone. I have done this before on other bikes and it looks good.
