Slow Ass HD Forums!
Yes, thanks Georgia Girl, Thanks for keeping us informed. That helps us understand. At least we know it's not being ignored.

Thanks for what you do on here, it's an "Ungrateful job" I know.

looks like it's back to normal now. it was slow for a day. you could always ask for your money back though. i'm very impressed with the forum here. i cannot imagine a better source for information, the real world kind of information, not filtered through editors of a magazine. and unlike american iron magazine, you've got no annoying advertisements falling out of it, or having to tear out a page of progressive insurance ads before it'll relax enough to where you can actually read it.
Don't get me wrong, I know it's "Free" and it sounds terrible to complain about something like that. But, it's free, because of the advertising they sell. They get good money for that advertising because there are THOUSANDS of members, (other forums have a "Ticker" down at the bottom that tells you how many, I can't find that here)
Even though it's free, and a great place, if they let the performance go to pot, people will leave, some of that expertise will leave, and it will go down hill. I have seen this on one other forum for Ford Powerstroke trucks. It was GREAT, tons of awesome information. I learned everything I know, (It's more than the average backyard mechanic) about diesels there. Saved me a bunch of money working on my own truck. It was owned by an individual, who made good money with it I am sure. Well he sold it to a huge conglomerate with dozens of forums..
They installed tons of advertising programs, ect... probably changed servers. People stayed for a while, tried to let them work through it. But after several months, it was dead. You could post a question before, and in less than an hour, have a good answer, (Like here most times) Now, it's days, and the answer you get MAY not be great. I go there just to peruse some. It is DEAD compared to before. The problem is they use a program that uses "Bots" because it will show the "Users viewing" numbers at the bottom. This keeps the "Traffic" numbers up to keep up the advertising prices I am sure.
It used to say something like 76 Members viewing this thread, 12 guests.
NOW it usually says 4 members viewing and some crazy number like 190 guests... sorry,,, that sounds fishy to me.
I love this place, and am not complaining, I just do NOT want to see it go the way of the diesel forum I used to frequent.
ADMINS/MODS,,, keep up the good work, and keep trying your best, we'll appreciate it! Buying from sponsors, and such.
