Yes, you will have to change the mapping, When I did mine in 07, dealership told me I had to buy the race tuner to change to the slip ons. apparently it could not just be remaped.

I added Power Commander at the time I installed the slip-ons and Arlen Ness Stage 1 air intake. Used a modified PC map for the setup.

I've heard you don't need to remap when just slip-ons are added but probably wouldn't be a bad idea to do so.

Never heard that before, most Dealers will tell you, you can add mufflers like Rush Slip-on's with 1 3/4 or even 2" baffles without having to remap.

You won't see any difference in performance, just have more sound. IMO, I would call Fuelmoto and buy their complete package of Stage1 AF Jackpot mufflers and PC-V. Then you'll see a lot more performance and cooler running. JMO

I was told by others that the dealer could remap oem ecu, but the dealer said no patches avialable from HD for the '07 at that time.
I wasn't sure, so I went with what the dealer told me, screaming eagle race tuner, high air flow zippper kit, super trap slip ons

I put the mild vance and hines slip-ons on my 08. Also put nightrider 02 IEDs on. Seems OK. My understanding is if you don't change the intake you'll be ok with a mild set of slip-ons.

Sounds as if you are set for any mods you want in the Future. If you are letting the Dealer do your service, it's probably better to go with their products. More expensive, but you shouldn't have any issues. I've never heard of HD not having a Download Flash for the stock ECM's. What I always do when a Dealer tells me something like that, I get on the phone and talk to other Dealer's and ask the same question. Plus it's good to ask here on the Forum as well. Lot's of Knowledge here. Ride Safe!!

If your not changing the air box ,you should be fine without a remap.
