There is a Stage 1 download that the dealer can do without adding the race tuner. It will bring the a/f mixture back to factory specs after doing a stage 1 upgrade (mufflers and aircleaner). I have been running this on my 08 for 2 years and on my 07 before that. Never an issue and runs good.

Been running mine without a remap (Rineharts) and no issues. All you have to do is check the plugs. But if you change more like airbox, yes you will have to have a race tuner, or Fuel Moto or Power Commander to override the ECM. Someone already mentioned to contact Fuel Moto they will give you straight advise you can trust.
