We will do the TMan525.
It's all good. I just knew you boys run 'em when you ride and you didn't want to end up with a cam that falls short of ya'lls riding style.

TMan eh? I see a motor build and a road trip to Dallas in your friends near future....LOL.

So refresh my memory, were we talking about hookin' 'em up? Two bad-*** HD's in a contest of speed? It could be something talked about for years in racing circles. It might be billed "The Ultimate Battle of the Stage 1½ Street Glides" or "The Battle of the Sumo Bikes."

If you mean a conventional drag race I'll concede now, as I can't compete in a HP shootout. OTOH, I'm game for a 2000-4000rpm punch in 5th or 6th gear for a brewsky. Maybe two. Now, the problem of getting to Cincy.
I didn't think of it that way. Battle of the Sumo Bikes. I like that! I think the 2,000 - 4,000 rpm punch is more my speed. Plenty of brew after that.

I'd invite UltraKla$$ic too, another excellent suthuhn gentleman, but I know he'd turn the offer down. His scoot is way too shiny to get Ohio dust on it!

"I just know that a lot of people go to HD because that's all they know and there are better and most times cheaper CAMs".

How do you just know? Are you a Swammee or something? Do people contact you before they purchase a cam for your informative view and then you log these responses.

"His boss came up to me and said my numbers were better than the 110s they were building. So that's why I figured I would tell my buddy to stay away from SE stuff. Honestly I didn't mean to step on any toes but I just figured there was better stuff out there.

One person told you had better numbers, so that means all SE cams are no good. You are such a good friend to save your buddy from making a mistake.

These two quotes are so impressive about your knowledge of cams it leaves me almost speechless. Why anyone would install an SE cam after reading these replies is beyond me. In fact I may take my SE cams out based on these responses. So what cams do you think I should put in?

Hmmm...cam snob, there is one I haven't heard before!

And the T-man 525 is a good choice, but I would have recomended the HQ 525

Whoever runs this site, should link a "FlowMax" add to the word "cam", because it is always a pissing match. ;-)

This one seems over, so should we talk about the "chicken and the egg"?

On the cost effective side is the SE255 cams, everyone that have posted that have installed these in their stock bikes have been very happy.Lots of giddy up for a heavy bike in the mid range with a loss of a couple mpg,but its a Harley. The other that I myself have been leaning toward for my 09 SG is the CR575.They work great on a pretty well stock bike and the more you upgrade the better the results.Check'm out @ Nightrider.com
