Default Arnott air ride opinions?

I have a customer who is interested in Arnott air ride for his Road King. I spoke with them at length this morning about their two different versions of the shocks that are offered and am interested in real world ride-ability. Are the Alden shock worth the extra $500? Do they bottom out or not? It was explained that they have a rubber bump stop inside the shock that will keep them from bottoming out like the less expensive bilstein version. If you have this system or have ridden a bike with them please give me your thoughts on it. thanks. Drew

I don't have one but, I'll give you my thoughts since it's on my list.

1. Become an Arnott distributor.
2. Give hdforum members an ungodly discount.
3. Get all the opinions you could ever dream of!

I have the Arnott Alden system and love it. Pretty easy to install and only bottoming out I do is when I dump all the air in the system and the bike is slammed. With air in the system, I can ride two-up and no problems. My wife didnt notice any difference between stock and Arnott with air in the system.

Do you a have the $600 version or the $1100 dollar version? Thanks for your opinion as well. I am planning on selling their products obviously, but I need more info first and I can't get anyone to give a product for testing. LOL

If you DO happen to need test riders, let us know

On a serious note, since I moved to the SG I'm considering air ride if it's comparable in price to some good Progressives

I have the standard set up and had it on my last bike as well, I would not have another bike without it. never bottoms out unless it is down all the way. ride is very good and I really like the adjustability for all types of riding.I recommend them highly.
