All, I have a 2002 road king. I have a squeak that only presents itself in the morning, and only when I let off of the throttle. The problem goes away after about 15 minutes of riding. Any suggestions?
I can't guarantee this is your squeek, but it could be your rear rubber muffler mounts. Mufflers vibrating in the mounts squeaking until the rubber warms up. Replacing the rubber should do the trick. New torca clamps on the exhausts may help too.
I agree with the guy from Hawaii whose name I can't spell. A good friend of mine put a dab of brake fluid on his finger and wiped the rubber muffler mount...problem went away. It happens about once a year so just put this on your regular maintenance schedule.
BTW, hold on to your 2002...from what I've read about them, they were one of the best model years (prior to the frame change in 2009). I know...mines an '02 also.
