I have had both, my sporty was vivid black. I wash the flat about 1/2 as much and it still looks new after 2 years.

Flat black for a blacked out bike. The more chrome you have the more you should go with the vivid black. Personally, my favorite is the black pearl.

To each their own. I love the look of my '10 denim black SG and it's a lot more forgiving that classic paint and a lot easier to care for.

I own vivid black and wish someone with denim black would trade sheetmetal. LOL.

You can buy touch up paint for the Denim bikes from colorite.com or the dealer. It's real easy to do. I painted my bike with paint I bought from color rite. They sell it in a pen, spray can, pint or quart. Im real happy with the denim paint. i had Vivid Black on my last bike. While it looked great it was a pain to keep clean.

I like em both, but with vivid you always can see relections and its almost like a new paint job, sometimes sunsets or trees or clouds or whatever denim is flat and datz it never changes

I like the look of both however I find myself looking deeper into a gloss finish than denim. It seems a high gloss Deep Black paint job holds my interest for detail longer. The way I see how people are mixing denim/chrome, powdercoat/gloss etc.. is definitely putting out some real new creative looking bikes. These new ways of contrast just shows the endless possibilities of building our ultimate machine. Black is the hardest color to keep clean, but when it's buffed I think it can't be beat. Here is my other ride with a bit more black than bike tins......
