I have been reading a lot of post about handlebar options on a flht. I have faring mounted mirrors and want to change the handlebars. I have read how many of you have gone with the WO's and even some klock werks which i would like but seem a little pricy for what you get.
My question is has anyone tried to use bars off of a heritage if so did they work and are there any pics? Those bars seem to put your wrist at a more comfortable angle.
Also I can not seem to find the dimensions anywhere for the klocks ergo bar does anyone have that info?
I just replaced my heritage style handlebars on my 09' FLHRC. I really did not like the uncomfortable wrist angle the bars offered. They tend to point your wrists up instead of down like many other bars. Because of this I also thought it was harder to steer the bike. I bought theses bars after reading about how happy people were with them on this forum but I would not recommend them. I am having Wild One Chubby 8.5'' baby apes installed at the shop now. They felt better just holding them off of the bike, I hope they are an improvement.
I have Heritage bars on my 02 EGC. love 'em!. I had a problem for a while with angle & my hands going to sleep. I rotated them about 10 degrees toward me & haven't had a problem since.
I could get a comfortable wrist angle with the Heritage style bars but only if I pulled the bars way back. I felt this looked weird and made the bike handle poorly. I think the Klock Werks Ergo bars look nice. It seems that they were made for a nice flat wrist angle.
