I was going to email Jamie at FM but thought since it was a weekend I would post here first to see if someone new the answer.
I have a '10 SG and I bought the PC-V from FuelMoto and my rev limiter is still at 5200 RPM. I probably shouldn't go much over that anyway but I thought it should be higher just because I have the PC-V. Is that what it should be?
I am not sure what you mean by PC-V but my limiter was bumped up to 6500 with the race tuner. It seems like 5500 is a bit low to me.
That is why I choose a race tuner; much more tune-ability.

Fuel moto told me that it was senseless changing the rev extend without cams on my 2010. Said i would be making less power after 5200-5500
I have the PCV and mine is dropping out at about 5500! (EVEN THO I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE CLOSER TO 6200!!???) This is the only bitch I have about the new bike! The Heritage had no limits!!
I think makstv5 makes alot of sense. I've got a SEST, SE air cleaner and thunderheader on my 09 in my signature picture and I don't think I've ever hit the rev limiter on it. I feel like I need to grab another gear before that point because the power reved that high starts to fall on it's face.
The PC-V will raise the rev limiter to 6200 RPM's if the RevXtend is enabled. There is no reason to raise it beyond 6200 in most applications as this is near the threshold of the stock valvetrain and it is well beyond peak power. Note when using RevXtend on 08 and later drive by wire Touring models because of the way the stock tach picks up its signal it will stop just over 5000 RPM's even though it will rev to 6200.

Wouldn't it be possible to get a stage 1 download with rev extend and then add the PCV? Just curious, this doesn't impact my 07.

I have no internal changes to my motor. My engine is clearly hitting some type of a limiter just over 5K RPM. It sounds like that is where I want it to be. Just making sure that is working as it should.

If you have the RevXtend enabled it will rev to 6200. You can check this in the PC-V software under Configure/Revxtend and make sure the 6200 RPM limter is checked
