Great looking bike. I saw that color at a dealer this weekend and it looks so much better in realtime. Congratulations and hope to see you on the road.
Great looking bike!! I have a black cherry pearl rkc ordered. ship date 8/21/06. this is the first bike i have ever owned. it is driving me nuts waiting, but i have waited 43 years 3 more weeks aint bad i guess.
Welcome to the site. You mentioned this is the first bike you've ever owned, so I would like to give you a strong endorsement to get a very helpful product called "Ride Like a Pro IV" that contains a good, practical version of motorcycle Police training course for the general public. You may not know it, yet, but you very much need the information contained in this DVD. Get it and you'll be forever glad you did. You can order it at http://www.ridelikeapro.com . Be sure to mention that you heard about it from this site and you'll get a discount on the shipping. You can also do a search on this site for a Ride Like a Pro thread and get alot of information and endorsements from many riders on this forum. Good luck and congratulations on your ride.
Thanks for the tip axe11. will definitly check it out. I have also taken the rider safety course. I will need a the help i can get. thanks again.[sm=deal.gif]
You're welcome Roger. When you take the rider safety course, you'll probably want to pay a little extra for opportunity to put in some extra drilling time on those 250's they're most likely using for the course. You can usually go there on off days and have the course lot to yourself. The safety course will start you off with the basics, but the Ride Like a Pro course and information will fill you in comprehensively on what you need to know and show you how to implement that knowledge skillfully. It takes practice and more practice, but that is what will save your bacon...and help prevent your bacon from getting in trouble in the first place. The Road King, in my opinion, is the best example of a motorcyle in the world for ride, comfort and handling ability. You made a great choice, but it is still a lot of bike; and, being it's your first one, I could hardly encourage you enough to learn what you need to practice and put in a good many hours before you start doing some very serious riding on that Road King. As a fellow rider, I want you to be safe and to be able to enjoy that fine ride, and that takes trained in skills and the confidence those learned skills give. Take care and ride safe.
