Hey Erik, Try Dr. V Twin, they have awesome prices, and are very customer service friendly, and also a sponsor!

Believe me, I know it looks cool, but I have 2 questions:
do you guys ride distance (100-500) miles? if so, how do they feel then?

How is the turning radius? Do you feel a loss of control in the parking lots? Is it really that bad?

The reason i asked these questions is because when I bought my fxr, i went straight to apes. i only went to 10-12 but they looked cool. My dad acted like he was going to kill himself riding it and i had no problems. I even rode it to GA from MD with the apes and i was just fine. Would this be any different on a bagger?

Do you feel any certain way about moving your hands above the protection of the fairing to the wide open air?

Im almost 28 and I think this looks cool as hell but i dont want to sacrifice comfort for looks and be dissapointed in the long run. 2oo is a little costly for bars, especially when i have to purchase new cables as well. Speaking of which, how much did new cables, if any, cost you guys.

I think the bike handles better now than when I had the stock bars on. As far as hands above the fairing, if it's cold, your hands will get cold. Doesn't matter. I ride 200 miles easy on any given Sunday.

I got my Yaxel through my HD dealership. They ordered them right through PY.
As far as the apes and handeling, I feel great with them. I am still having a little trouble in parking lots with the bike in general. I am used to a lowered V rod though. I think it is just the bike, not the Apes.

Can someone give exact lengths of cables used for the 12" PYO bars? I want to make sure I get the right length, as I put different bars on last winter and too long of a clutch cable made for a bad clutch pull.
Thanks,

Nice bike Mr. Goggles; lots of goodies on there! You bought it that way? They did a nice job; very subtle but custom all at the same time! Congrats and Enjoy!

someone said they cannot afford to cough up 200 for these bars if you paid 200 you better buy every set you can get your hands on, they are NOT 200, they are more like 379 retail... and some dealers sell them for less, but better expect to pay close to 379 for them!

He is right... You CAN use stock mirrors with 12" bars, but you can see anything without lifting your arm up. Stock mirrors are def NOT ideal for these bars. I put 6000 miles on with these bars and stock mirrors. Just painted the inner fairing and had the holes filled. I now run bar mounted mirrors and can finally see behind me again. These bars are the most comfortable bars you will ever ride with. I have done 500 miles days with the bars and not one upper body discomfort, can't say that about the mid body section though!!!!!!
