H O T !

Yeah, the midwest is going through a summer sizzle right now with many days in the 100 degree range...however, are there any accessories or parts to do the following:

-Make the bike run cooler overall? (Oil filter/cooler kits?)
-Something for that cross over pipe that continues to WARM lil' momma's legs up...man she gets hot from thing...POOR DESIGN IMO!

Please help!

I had the same problem I had my dealer install a sert and rinehart pipes bike runs alot cooler for me and the wife

There really are more than a few things that you can do. I, too, live in the midwest, and although my wife and I get hot from the weather, we don't get hot from the bike. If your bike is basically stock and you intend to leave it that way (at least for the forseeable future), the DFO (also called TFI) is a good, inexpensive way to richen the A/F mix and cool the bike. Synthetic oil also helps as does an oil cooler.

Currently 77 degrees in Sturgis at 12:30pm. At least that's what weather.com says.

kuryakyn makes a heatshield and there is a company called cool thighs that has a product that works well on the crossover pipe.

I looked on the kuryakyn site but could not find the piece. Do you know what they call it or what the part number is?

For those that are interested, this is still a problem with the 07 engine...
