I just recently purchased a 07 Street glide and it needs some Chrome. I have ordered a 23" front rim, chrome lower forks, single rotor conversion kit, new fender and a few small pieces of chrome. I am running out of funds to spend on the bike at the moment and need to slow down and buy a little here and there.
My question is....what are some suggestions about what I should buy first? I am wondering what chrome covers will really stand out and set the bike off. With the big rim I want to chrome around the engine area to set it off as well.
I have had Big Dogs for the past few years so I am not familiar with everything they have to offer for this bike.
Congrats on the Street Glide!! Welcome to the forum. Sounds like your off to a good start. Take your time and look around at other bikes and I'm sure you'll find plenty more to spend your money on.
you do know there is some work to install a 23 frt wheel 7 tire right..... hawg haltes has a kit that you cut the frame behind the neck & weld in a kit to allow for clearence & the proper rake... just sayin... I got a big dog to... & HDs
I have a solid Chrome back wheel that I will be using. I have also ordered a new fender with new mounting hardware for the clearence. I will check on having to cut and weld to increase the rake. Thanks.
first off congrats! next- " needs some chrome" ? seek help now, this is a sickness that many suffer from including me. it wont stop. good luck we can help spend your money lol {must add more chrome}
