I've added a Garmin 2720 to my bike when it's needed. I move this from car to truck to bike. It's my opinion that computers and satalites don't lie but my bike's speedo DOES! [:@] My 05 Dodge Dakota PU reads 1 mph high according to the Garmin. My 06 Nissan Altima reads 1 mph low. My 05 EG Classic reads a full 5 mph high!! Cheap inaccurate junk, IMO...
I saw this was a Speedo thread I thought O'h my gosh!!![:-][:-]
It is difficult now to keep track or these guys posting in the Cleavage Tread, the Thong Thread, the Fishnet Thread and the Metric Biker Babe Thread... I don't need a speedo thread for the ladies to keep track of too.
It has been my understanding that for years all M/Cs read about 5mph fast for safety reasons-maybe it's a myth but everyone I've ridden with is about the same domestic or foreign.

My GPS will occasionally will say I was doing 326 MPH! Guess it's from the angle or number of the sattelites at that time. Most of the time it agrees pretty close with the speedometer. Tried and true method I've used to check speedometer calibration is holding a steady speed & timing mile markers on a smooth stretch of highway: 60 seconds per mile = 60 MPH
