Got a fender extension off ebay with tribar light but the light isn't working. Anyone have any idea how I could test my tribar light to see if it is defective or if it's the plug on the bike? I tried putting a volt ohm meter on the plug, but the ends are too big to fit in the plug.

There are LED's in there which shouldn't burn out.....Was this a replacement for one on the bike already?
Are you plugging it into the taillight plug or the plug located at the front of the rear fender?
Maybe give us the year and model of bike your putting it on....
Well, they do burn out. A few weeks ago I noticed on my '07 that the tri-bar looked pretty dim. I took everything apart. There is an LED board in there with 4 red LEDs. Only one of mine was still working. I went to Autozone, and in their accessory lighting section for the "fast and furious" parts crowd, I found a 2 pack of red LED bars with six lights each. Exact same size circuit bar. It snapped right in place of the OEM board. Spliced one of the two in and it's brighter than before. $15 for the pair and only used one. Once it was back together, I thought... why didn't I put in the second one and wire it up to the brake light? Next time...
If anyone need an LED board for their Tri Light, I have one sitting here doing nothing. If I can protect it and get it into a regular envelope with a 44 cent stamp, I will send it out free.

Power, ground, conveniently located right under the seat!
It's an 08 Road Glide. I plugged the light into the connector under the seat. I tried to get a volt ohm meter into the plug under the seat, but the leads of the vo meter are to large to fit into the holes in the plug under the seat.
Just want to make sure it's the light and not the plug under the seat.
Well.....took the light apart as I figured it probably isn't the wiring harness. Sure enough the led strip is corroded very badly. Lots of moisture inside the lens and housing.
Now the new search begins. Where to find a replacement light bar. Looked on Super Bright LED, but everything that looked like it would work is "not suitable for automotive applications". Any help out there??
