Default Campgrounds in Yellowstone/Teton

Planning a trip to Yellowstone and Teton this August. Was wondering if anyone has stayed at either of these campgrounds

Flagg Ranch or Colter Bay?

If not then any other suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks

Never stayed at either of those, I always stay at Madison, the one time I didnt was on a bike and it was full so we stayed at a campgroung in West Yellowstone. Cant remember the name it was just outside the gate, nice place, put 2 bikes and 2 tents up with plenty of room.

I've never stayed in either, but both look like nice camp spots, fairly reasonble for that area.I'm partial to the West Yellowstone,Island Park Id.area.Lots of camp grounds there,KOA,USFS camp ground along the Henry's fork etc.I like Cody and the Alpine area south of Jackson Hole ap. 30 mi.Usuually not so many people.I'd get reservations early if you decide on Flagg Ranch or Colter Bay,they're probably full all summer. They're are lots of nice camp grounds in the area so shouldn't have a problem.

I camped in Red Cloud on the north end of town. Entered Yellowstone at the north entrance via the Saw Tooth Highway. Great ride and scenery. That was the beginning of August and it snowed. Be prepared!

THanks guys, good ideas. Our thought was to stay in the middle, between Teton and Yellowstone so we could ride in either direction depending on the day. I was looking up by Cody but to get all the way down to Teton and into Utah and back to the campground would be a long one day ride. We wanted to set up camp in one place and ride from there for a few days.

Sounds like the west and north ends are nice riding!
