Just finished mine up Replaced everything. Alpine 9883 IPod HU, ARC 125.2 Mini amp, HERTZ 165 HCX 6.5" Speakers and 6.5" adapters, Hogtunes Tweeter pod and the Hawgwired retro kit.
For a 2 speaker system and 2 tweeters this blows most 4 and 6 speaker set ups out of the water. Firecap501 and I put this little mother together and all I can say is HOLY %$#@!
Gotta love any head unit that is IPOD friendly !!
What do you do for BASS with this set up ??
The ARC, and/or it's cousins , seem to be getting a lot of action from HD bagger riders. If you need something to fit in the batwing, this has to be one of the best options.
I chose the Biketronics retro kit , just because of the AVC, but had to disable it in the end anyhow. They do have GREAT customer service though !!
I'm sure it sounds good, but my 8 speaker system would take that bet !!
Yes you got me there. I seen your set up and I must bow my head and say ROCK on my brother.
Now the bass issue isnt bad in fact far better than I would of thought. has some punch but not like you would get with a true woofer. not looking to loose that storage space and the sound is (for a bike) amazing.
My blows every ones out of the water here in the SE portion of the states.......But just in case I run into you some where no showing off

I think it is, as I said I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of bass coming from the HERTZ 165 HCX 6.5" speakers. For a faring only sound set up (momma wont let me take over her shopping storage area's) it work's and sounds amazing.
Cant recommend FIRECAP501 enough. He was great in this building and rebuilding process.
