Default Head unit recommendation

The amount of information here is overwhelming! Can someone recommend a decent head unit for a 2005 CVO Electraglide? I prefer media only without the CD but the CD isn't a deal breaker. Would also like BT capability and a mostly black face plate would be my preference. I will be using a CV B52 amp and Infinity Kappas in the fairing. I have the wiring, handlebar controls, speaker adapters, and other stuff all picked out. Every time I think I have settled on a head unit, I read about the display not being bright enough or the face plate won't stay on, etc. Just trying not to make a poor choice. I definitely appreciate an input you guys can provide!

Plenty of choices out there for the "other" non Rushmore bikes....Good to see a older bike getting upgrades....I'm running a Alpine HU, with BT, HD radio, CD (never used) USB front port, Pandora capable, IPod direct link and capabilities, and preouts for your amp...Blue background with large white display....This Alpine has been on my bike for 5years with out any issue, so far.....There's days I wished I had XM radio, but having Pandora and a USB flash drive with gazillion of tunes is nice...Good luck and post reviews.

Tarheel I am in the same boat. I have 04 FLHTCSE and although I have decided on speaks, the amp and HU decisions I can't make.
I read and read on the HU's and they have something that dings all of them. There seems to be no perfect one. I'll pass on the aquatic myself.

What model are Alpine HU you running dug? BT149?

Tarheel, check out this recent thread. This should narrow your choices...or confuse you further.

Thanks guys! Sorry for just now getting back. This install included new mini ape handlebars as well. Not much has been plug and play thus far.

Bufbills, I'm in Monroe, just southeast of Charlotte. I've stood where you are standing in your pic!!! Haha.
