Thumbs up New cleaning tips?

Man o man did I stumble onto something. I went for a quick ride Sunday, (200mi), but my scoot was filthy. I got a bucket of steaming hot water, as hot as I could stand it. The wife bought me some micro-fiber cloths in bulk at Costco, so I took a brand new clean one and dunked it in the water and wrang it out as much as possible. laid it up on the fairing and the bugs just melted off. After rinsing multiple times, I was able to wipe down the entire bike, and follow up with a dry micro-fiber to get the residue and low and behold that bay was spotless. Anybody else try this?

Have you ever tried a product called S100? You can pick it up at most HD dealerships and some of the Indys.

Haven't tried the steaming hot towel yet. I keep a wet towel in a zip-lok bag in my garage. when I come in from riding, I lay it over the windshield. by the time I get out of my riding gear, the bugs come off easy. I keep a good coat of wax on mine. Helps with getting bugs and road grime off easier. The best trick I've used is one of my wifes swiffer dusters on the rest of the bike. If you get caught in rain, you have to wash it real good. I never touch my bike with anything but a microfiber towel.( and the swiffer)

+1 on this .. cleaning bugs right away is much easier than a day or 2 later

I soak the little fellows with a shower of Pledge, they wipe off effortlessly from paint and windshield.

I use an angle grinder for the tough parts and shine it up with chew spit.....works great.

My whole approach is to avoid chemicals which rob my wax coating. I never use a hose on the scoot.

You dont use a hose and you dont use chemicals! yep, you are pretty much left with a towel to grind the dirt in.... err I mean to make it shine!
