Default Chopped tourpack question

So just ordered the chopped tourpack. I have the 2 point docking hardware and really dont want the hoops sticking out of the back with the 4 pt. I looked on M. Baggers website and they have mounting racks. Says they now use the stock hoop, so does the tourpack come with this hoop?

I have the MB rack in chrome. Wrote-up the installation in this thread:

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...-pak-rack.html

Your second reference to the "hoop" is confusing to me. The MB rack doesn't use the hoops that stick out the back for mounting the HD two-up detachable tour pak rack.

I used a chrome U-tube to mount between the tour pak the the MB rack's mounting surface. It's not required, though it does provide some additional height that's useful when opening and closing saddlebag lids.

Your second reference to the hoop also caused me to check MB's website and I didn't see anything about the MB rack using the hoop. Provide a link if you can; I'd like to be current on the product. In any event, the MB rack doesn't use the hoops that HD's detachable rack uses.

Sorry don't know how to post a link. I'm looking at part # mb-0012dtpm-b. When you scroll down to the features it says" designed to be used with stock Harley tour pack tube". Thanks for your help. Sorry about all my questions, but the tourpack is just so expensive just don't want to order wrong parts

Okay, I read the reference to "tube" which you referred to as "hoop" in your OP. If you read the thread I posted in my original reply, you'll see the "tube" mentioned on MB's website installed between the tour pak and rack. You can call Nick, MB's owner, and talk to him about the tube.

At least one HDF'er installed the rack and tour pak without the tube.

Good luck with your project.
