And input on the best bang for the buck, on a half helmet sys.
that will allow me to communicate with the passanger and have
bluetooth function. The phone would be nice, but I wont be
using the I-pod, so dont care about music fidelity...Tenn.Vol.
I wanted to do the same thing so I took a chance on the harley Road tech system. Got a fairly new one off ebay and saved quite abit over retail. I use the half helmet and the system does work with it. You need to have the speaker pockets that can be bought from harley. You insert them into your helmet and they hold the speaker pods. The system came with two type ear speakers. The bluetooth fits on the side of the helmet and the microphone can be put down by your mouth or like I bend it up toward the helmet. I synced it with my iphone and listen to my tunes and it gives you the capability of taking calls. I must admit I was somewhat skeptical but sound quality is pretty good and at 70 mph on bike, I can hear and took calls. I could hear and the other party heard me pretty well too. Anyway...for what its' worth. I know there are others out there.

I'm thinking about buying one form IMC, one of the forum sponsers. It will work with a half helmet or no helmet at all. Can't really say yet how well it works.
