By all means make sure you have big *** HARLEY DAVIDSON logos on all corners. You wouldnt want to confuse a would be thief about the trailers contents.
In the market now for a trailer. Gonna put big *** HONDA logos on it to prevent anyone from wanting to steal it........
It would be nice if you guys could post PICS of the interior set ups of your trailers if possible.
I have a 7 x 12 Haulmark Trailer, Bike Pro brackets for the front wheels of two, staggered of course because of hard bags. I also have e-track mounted down both walls, I use it to hang my straps, behind the e-track I put a Harley blanket one on each side so the straps won't mark up the walls as they hand down. I have mounted inside a spare tire on a wheel. If your trailer has diamond plate on the front to act as stone guard. You might want to make sure this is sealed at the top because I had the floor rot out on one side because the water getting behind that diamond plate runs water directly on to the wooden floor. I have re-worked mine so it is tight and sealed with clear sealer.

Good tip on the diamond plate...I will check mine out.
I went with a 8.5 X 20 to set up for three bikes and room for camping and tool bench.
With a tandem axle be sure to locate the wheel chocks so that 70% of the weight is ahead of the rear axle. Also that 10% of the total weight of trailer and load is on the hitch.
The owners manual of the truck will state trailer brakes for that load, sway bar and load equalizing hitch. You must do this to avoid additional liability in case of an accident. The other guys lawyer's are big into looking for proper equipment when a towing vehicle is involved.
Here is some interior picks. I have made mine somewhat of a museum of all the patch rides, cards and pins that I got in the last 30 or so years.
I'm with the guys who like the Condor. I hall all my bikes with it. One thing to remenber for guys who haul with a half ton (like me) is everything you add ,like benches, storage, shelfs, ect.ect. adds weight. my 16 foot and 3 harleys can work my truck pretty good. just saying.
Great thread, I have a 27' that I use for snowmobiling, but going to be trailering 4-6 bikes in July.
I have been researching tie downs, have a good friend that does the block under frame GREAT IDEA IMO (carpet those blocks if you are worried about paint!)
I personally have a hanger system for coats, helmets from lowes. Floor is rubber and plastic designed for sleds. Trying to decide if I remove it or keep it in for this trip. Guess I will decided when the time comes to mount the chokes.
This was my first set up. All steel with a 1/2ton. stabilizer and tors bars and about killed my 1/2 ton.
Now this is the one I have now. All aluminum with a duramax pulling it down the road. Would not own a trailer that isnt a deep v. Put 100's of miles on and it saves plenty at the gas pumps.
I pulled a buddies to texas a couple years ago and it was only a 10' long standard steel trailer and it sucks the fuel.

I am 59 - retired Firefighter - 5'6" and had a Kendon for a few years but got tired of always getting help to load and unload...
I too at times want to trailer to a location - then ride.. I live in Central Ca - I-5 north or South and 80 East to Utah is BORING - so the trailer
two years ago, I also wanted an enclosed - but smaller than yours - ended up building a 5X8 Wells Cargo Road Force with a V-Nose, ramp and side door. I build shelfs in the V-nose for helmets and stuff and a bar underneath for hanging jackets.. Works great..
Now here is my favorite part.
Remember, I am 5/6"....
I found this guy at the Reno Street Vibrations and thought it was too good to be true - called and talked to a custom Harley builder in the Fresno area - he got two and Loved them.. I bought one (not the cheapest thing, but GREAT) and installed it in my Wells Cargo.. Now I can load my bike in just a few min ALL by my self..
Drop the door and ride it up NO STRAPS..
used the Trailer last July from Turlock, Ca to Ogden, UT with NO problems..
7x16 Pace American. I had the ceiling 1' higher to 7' instead of the std 6', had AC/Heat Strip, insulated walls, etc. I built the cabinets on the front (still have to add the doors/drawers). Have quick detach wheel chocks, 4 tie-downs per bike (2 front/2 rear). We sleep in it too. add a porta potty and a queen size blow up mattress. Just spent 4 days in Bandera in it.
