had a bad experience at cozaihrs, fixed it, it made it 30 miles. And that was the SECOND trip back there. Worse, they had closed, and then I had to have it towed. (trailered) WalterBros in Peoria, been ok. pricey, but ok.
Man, that sucks about your experience with Cozaihrs.
This was awhile ago, but I had an issue on a Saturday about 3:45 in the afternoon, called them and they got the tech on the phone with me, when we couldn't get it figured out he waited for me to ride it in, worked on it, finding they needed a part and offered me a ride home.
Like I said, I have nothing but good to say about them, live close and do a lot of business there.
Man, stay the hell away from Legacy in Effingham!!!!!! Got nothing but kids twisting wrenches in there and it shows!!!!! Had an 18 wheeler run me off the road on 07-17-07 and took it to them on 07-19-07. Told them what happened and gave them the Insur. guys name and all. Said "No Problem".
On 11-16-07, they called and said all the parts were finally in and was putting it together. On 11-28-07, they called and said they had a "Problem" ?!?!? Come to find out while trying to replace the tank, they come to find out the backbone was F%&king bent!!!!!! Should have been found in the beginning knowing a tractor trailer ran me off the road at 55mph!!! Then he was crying and kissing me A$$ not wanting me to have the Insur. total it. They said they could try to straighten it for me!!!!!!! NFW!!!!!! I said new frame or I was going to tell the Insur. guy to scrap it and he was stuck with all of the painted stuff and chrome. If they would have done their job right in the beginning, I would have been cut a check for 17K and bought a brand new Ultra off the floor.
They finally ordered a new frame and took the hit in their overhead and got me my scoot back on 01-24-08 and still tried to get me for $128 for some kind of BS. I told them to put the bike, bike parts (I told them to keep the old ones for I wanted to see what was replaced) back and I was going to contact the BBB and my attn. They decided it was less headache to suck it up for the 6 1/2 months PIMA and let it go. I would never let them work on a hot wheels bike much less mine again!!!!!!
Andrae's in Urbana if you are wanting performance work. Bill Burris the Service Manager has overseen my last 2 motor builds. I wouldn't want anyone else doing it now. Great service, very sharp, knows performance, and they have an in house Dyno with trained operators.
