You might want to go with the 940's first if you've been bottoming out the rear shocks a lot plus the installation is easier.

I'm planning on getting the monotube kit in the next month or so to go along with my 940s. Been wondering the same thing you are: go with the stock height or lowered 2"? If the front end is lowered 2", what's the effect on rideability/safety when you're touring two up with 50 lbs of luggage?

 

Plow, I went ahead and ordered the 940's, I should have them late next week. Unfortunately even after I get them installed I probably will not get to try em out for another couple months with all the snow we have (sucks)!! Please keep me informed of your progress with the monotubes, thanks.
