I'm currently running the stock suspension. I was interested in getting feedback on the 440's as an upgrade option. I should have been a little clearer on that in my original post.
How about Ricor Shocks can you get a good price on those?
They would be the ones that I would be interested in...and am and they will be by next expenditure...
I just got back in from testing the 940's on my 10 RG. IMO a major improvement over the stock shocks. Rode 2 up, they really smoothed the ride out for us. I purchased mine from phatperformance, they offered a huge discount and free shipping.
Thanks for the shout out!
For everyone else, we have plenty in stock for same day shipment (as long as order is placed before 5PM) if anyone is looking them!
The 940 Series sits 1" lower than most baggers (same as a Street Glide, though). Ride is superior to the taller shocks and reach to the ground at lights and gas stations is increased.
Adjustment is done by hand via the top caps. We generally recommend giving both shocks a full turn if you are adding any significant weight.

When the shocks are adjusted up for more weight, will that rise the ride height for the motorcycle? I have 412's on my 09 FLHT and it seems that when I ramp up the preload so my wife can ride, that the bike's rear end sits a bit higher. Thinking of getting the 940's but not if they do the same thing.
I have had the 940's installed on my '09 SG for about three weeks now. The ride is superb compared to the stock air shocks. The rear wheel stays on the pavement. I used to get accelerator surge when going over bumps, that has been eliminated. The highway performance is smooth, yet sporty. Minor bumps are unoticeable, and major bumps are less jarring. Overall, i am very happy with the ride, while maintaining my stock ride heigth.
