Default Voltage Meter

My Volt meter is going south. Has any one put a digital voltmeter in place of it? If done did you use the dimming feature? If so what did you hook the wire to?

Are you sure it's just the volt meter? The volt meter on my '01 FLHT kinda went south on me, too ..... right before my stator needed replaced.

Yes pretty sure, had the stator and voltage regulator checked ok. 14.4 voltage at the battery at 2000rpm and the guage was showing a waving 10V
