Got mine yesterday. Put on 200+ to get over the break in right. Love it.First radio bike, I like it. I think I'll get the rider backrest first. I got the detachable tour pak kit and the 7 yr warranty.
Gotta get the bride on it while it's quiet, then after I mod the pipes, I'll tell her it's the way it sounds after break in. So many mods, so little time......and cash
In process of adding the FuelMoto 2-1-2,Jackpot dyno tuned mufflers,K&N A/C and PC5.
Also replaced the rear floorboards with the Street Glide pegs, replaced the front speakers with Infinity Kappa's,custom made shift rod w/Hiems and saddle bag liners.
I live in NYS and I am removing the cat on my FLHTK. There is no cat rquirement now and I don't think that they can make it retro active if it was not required when the bike was made. But then in the Peoples Republic anything is possible. I will have my old catpipes anyway just in case.
I put stage one on mine with Rush ceramic headpipes and monster ovals. I have the quick detach on, it was part of the deal with the bike.

I think if your bike was equipped with it,it would be required if the smog ****'s get their way.

I just finished the exhaust mods this morning and this thing now runs like a raped ape.. and it sounds bad ***. I bumped up the rev limiter to 6200 rpm and that alone makes a big difference. I had thunder header mufflers and dresser duals and a/c on my 2007 flhrci and it didn't even come close to this new setup. I was considering cams, but man this motor is rocking pretty good right now.. i'll probably wait a couple years before I do that.
What mods do I like the best? 1. Exhaust (true duals). 2. Everything else. I love this bike and giggle at times when I'm ripping through turns.. I just can't get over how well HD did with the redesign of the 2009+ touring liineup. Way to go HD!
Did this affect your ground clearance or present any leaning issues? Do you bottom out at all?

Any issues with all the wiring detatching the tour pac ?
3rd Harley, 1st 2 were sportsters, now I traded in my 06 1200 custom in on my cherry/merlot charriot. I got her while I was on R&R from Iraq and was able to put 700 miles on big red. My mods while I was at home was a back rest and center stand. Since I have been back in Iraq I have ordered highway pegs, chrome radio cover, chrome tail light cover, chrome windshield bar, saddlebag secure screws, 36 bright led flexable strip that I am going to mount right under the lid on the tourpack (so I wont have to drill) and on the 1st I am getting slip ons and K&N filter. I plan on leaving the stock head pipe in for now (the heat dont bother me yet) I cant wait to get back home and ride big red again. ALL of you in this post have beautiful bikes. Going from sportsters to my limited is amazing and I should of done it years ago if finances would of allowed me to. How much louder is the vance and hines and rineharts with the cats in over the stock sewing machine muffler? All I want is a deep rumble at idle, some bark when I get into the throtle and calms down at cruising speeds so I can hear my tunes. Thanks everyone for letting me ramble about my new baby. Stay safe everyone and keep the shiney side up.
