Hi guys, I have gutted everything in the gas tank. No holes in the line. But the tank has rust and also it looks like the "liner" is peeling off the inside of the tank. What do I do? Is there a coating that I can repair this with? Thanks cass
Kreem works well if done correctly. Unfortunately I've seen a few that were not done correctly and heard of more (the people that did them swear they followed directions). It is a mess when it isn't done right.
Be sure to do the prep thoroughly and don't get the cleaner (acid) on the paint.
Also coating the inside takes time. It isn't hard to do but does take time and patience.
Protect the outside of the tank during the whole process.
Before I'd use that Kreem crap I'd buy some evap-o-rust at O'Riely's. Take your tank off, plug up the wholes and let that stuff set in it overnight, rotating it every day until the entire tank has been treated. Works great! I've never seen a Kreem job that came out good.
