Dual Pipes Need Dual Dyno?
Can anyone speak to the theory that if a bike has true dual exhaust, then to maximize performance and tune, both pipes should be sniffed by the dyno to achieve some sort of "balance"? I've heard dyno guys claim it doesn't really matter because the tuner/ Power Commander adjustments made will affect both jugs. I've also heard from different dyno guys that with a true dual system, both pipes need to be individualy tested and mapped for maximum performance. Both arguements seem plausible if not convincing, or is one just a marketing scheme by a shady dyno tech? Interestingly, the PCIII software DOES have the ability to map both pipes separately.
