Cut a check ten weeks ago for a 107 ST upgrade. Mechanic told me he is still waiting for heads to come back from head-quarters (http://head-quarters.com). From what I hear from everyone is they are behind schedule. Spring is early in Michigan and everyone is out riding. Is anyone else waiting for their heads too? Sorry, but ten weeks should be enought lead-time! WTF!
That's a bummer. I'm guessing with the economy as it is, H-D's losses, talk of being bought out, etc hours are being cut and production slowed to limit the damage. (???) But 10 weeks is awful.
Humm.. I did 300 miles this weekend between friday and today and I did it on a stock motor! Guess i cant see the desire for all the added engine work.. Especially if its gonna take forever.. Hope you get the stuff soon... Were still not in summer here so you still have time before the wx gets really nice ..
Why don't you call & follow up on it to see what the hold-up is, seems like a lot of people complain before they ever try to solve the problem themselves. Complaining on here without knowing what's going on isn't going to get your heads back any sooner, I guess I would have been following up on it to make sure what was going on. If they're just that slow & they didn't give you a heads up on how long it would take then you have a valid complaint, if not you may have just lost a good company business by posting a complaint. We all have to take responsibility for some things ourselves.

Dave, like others, HQ offers a core exchange so downtime is minimal; basically the time it takes for the build since the bike is ridden until the parts come in. You're right, and there are many who share the view, that the stock motor is fine; many others go a different route.

Youre right, I hear nothing but good things about HQ and I'm not bashing them. The purpose of my thread was to find out if anyone else has the same issues and to find out more information. Unfortunately I dont have a direct line to HQ. I will speak to my mechanic and he will follow-up with HQ. Either way 10 weeks is way to long - dude.
Yea, I'm waiting on HQ parts for a 103 build. When I shipped my parts out it was a 4 week turnaround. When it went past 4 weeks I emailed Kevin and was told that my parts should ship middle of next week. The wait is killing me as we're having the early spring around here as well, but they have been straight up about the delays and I'm sure the wait will be worth it.

Damascus, this isnt Harley Davidson, its a seperate vendor. HQ does the best Headwork around! Actually, I hear they do better work than Harley themselves but then I am pretty new a this stuff.
